Featured Animal Action

In the scene where the K-9 dog sticks his head oud of the police cruiser and barks, two trainers were on set. The road was closed at both ends by local law enforcement.

The trainer introduced the dog to the actor Clint Eastwood before filming so the two could get acquainted. When the dog jumps out of the car and the actor pets him, the trainer worked with the dog beside the vehicle cueing him to bark aggressively with hand signals. One of the dog’s two trainers got in the backseat of the vehicle and ducked down below the camera, while the second trainer stayed in bushes until cued. On action, the trainer released the dog who ran to Clint Eastwood, who was holding a treat for the dog. Once they got the shot, they placed the dog in a van and provided him food and water.
