Featured Animal Action

In the scene when the actor walks into a pet store and picks up a dog and places him back in the terrarium. And there are also rabbits in the terrarium. Production actually filmed this scene in an empty pet store. Trainers showed the animal how to pick up the dog. Trainers placed the rabbits in the terrarium which has straw sprinkled on the floor.

In the scene where the actor opens the door and sees a bear in the office licking a piece of meat, the walk way from the bear’s holding trailer to the set is thirty feet and surrounded by hot wire tape. Likewise, the room has hot wire tape around the room to keep the bear in the center of the room. On action the bear’s handler called the bear into the office. A piece of meat was left on the ground in the middle of the room. The actor walked across the room, outside of the tape, reading a paper. The bear looked at them then had it walk out of the room. When the bear growls at the men, the trainer cued the bear to stand and growl off camera. In the scene where the bear walks to the porta potty, opens it up with his claws and sticks his head inside, prior to filming the scene the trainer placed a piece of meat in the porta potty. On action, the bear walks to the porta potty, smells the meat, smells it, the trainer calls him from off-camera and the bear walks away.

In the scene where the actor climbs up the tree to retrieve the cat trapped in the tree, prior to shooting the scene the actor stood on the ladder against the tree. The stuntmen secured ladder. The trainer holds the cat on one of the steps of the ladder also. When the actor was set and the cameras were rolling, the trainer handed the cat to the actor. The actor says his lines holding the cat. The actor acted as if he slipped. Cameras were looking up to the tree to make actor appear higher.
