Featured Animal Action

Throughout the film, one of the characters has a pet dog, who is seen performing such mild action as sitting/standing/lying, being held or petted, and walking/running on or off leash. For all of these scenes, trainers used hand signals and verbal commands to cue the mild action, which the trained dog was accustomed to performing. The barking/growling was also a trained behavior.

In the scene where the dog walks across a living room and is pet by an actor, the trainers walked the dog to set on leash. One of the trainers stood in the hallway out of frame at the A mark with the dog. The other trainer stood next to the camera on the opposite side of the room. On action, one trainer released the dog as the other used hand gestures and verbal commands to call the him to its mark. The dog walked across the room and was pet by an actor. The dog was very relaxed throughout filming and performed the action well.
